This is a DOC wine (name given in 1975) whose production is permitted in the area between the Slopes of the Apennines Dauno and the territories of Lucera, Biccari, Troy.

Agro lucerino it still produces Cacc'e Mmitte Lucera with full respect for tradition, but according to modern winemaking technology. In ancient times this wine was produced in so-called millstones, typical farms of the South equipped with tanks, property of the landowner who was offering to farmers who request it for the pressing of the grapes. This equipment could be used only in the day of thick, after which the grower, completed the vinification, left the millstone available to another applicant who poured their grapes. This procedure derives from the dialect Cacc'e mmitte, which translated means "lever and place", and indicates precisely the place and remove the juice from the millstones. The blend consists of Black trojan 60%, 30% Montepulciano, Bombino 10% our own interpretation includes using Tonneau where the wine is aged for 6 months with the next step in the bottle for aging


Ruby color purple shiny and bright, with notes of currant, blackberry, raspberry, hints of underbrush, licorice, plum, wild cherry, Mediterranean, very fresh, precise tannic well supported by a long persistence and alive.

Wine suitable to accompany Mediterranean food well structured as baked pasta with meat sauce and chicken entrails, Pugliese pasta with meat sauce and vegetables, vegetable soup tasty. Among the main courses, it is well suited to a succulent grilled sausage, roasted white meat, pork and lamb roast or stew, grilled red meat, spicy sausages and cheese sheep cheeses.
